MarineSat invited for Review of Smart Ship Industry Standard

From May 22 to May 24, the review meeting for smart ship industry standard led by Ministry of Transport was successfully held in Ocean Hotel Shanghai. The chief scientist of MarineSat Professor Zhang Boyu was invited to participate the meeting as the expertise judge for reviewing the draft of Technical requirements for installation, use, maintenance and repair of Marine communication and navigation equipment - Part 7: Three standards such as Doppler Log. This is a professional meeting on Marine communication navigation equipment, which is of great significance to promote the development and improvement of industry standards. As the chief scientist of MarineSat, the participation of Professor Zhang Boyu not only show the great attention MarineSat paid to setting of industry standards, but also shows his speciality accomplishment in the industry.  

The meeting started at 9 o’clock on May 22, beginning with introduction of participated leaders and experts, and followed with speeches by leaders of Marine Ministry of Transport and Marine Bureau. Later, the standard drafting team introduced project background, significance of the compilation, working process and main content. After that, the draft of Technical requirements for installation, use, maintenance and repair of Marine communication and navigation equipment - Part 7: Three standards such as Doppler Log was carefully reviewed. The chief scientist of MarineSat professor Zhang Boyu participated in the review as the expertise judge. The meeting was finished at 17:00 on May 24.The drafting unit made a statement on the follow-up work, and the Secretariat put forward requirements on the preparation and time schedule of the draft for approval.
